The Doorway

This was a project in my art class. We were instructed to copy a piece of existing art within the frame of our sillhouette. Outside of the sillhouette was to be a repeating pattern.

The inside art in this piece is a copy of Michael Whelan's painting called "The Portal" (done in pastels), the sillhouette border is a copy of art by Joseph Vargo, and the outside repeating patterns is meant to be a celtic knot representation of ravens and wolves (done in ink and marker).
